Section 8-6A-03 - Certification prerequisite to representation; registration of certified medication technicians(a) An individual shall be certified as a nursing assistant by the Board before the individual may: (1) Use the title "certified nursing assistant";(2) Use the initials "C.N.A." after the name of the individual; or(3) Represent to the public that the individual is certified as a nursing assistant.(b) An individual shall be certified as a medication technician by the Board before the individual may: (1) Use the title "certified medication technician";(2) Use the initials "C.M.T." after the name of the individual; or(3) Represent to the public that the individual is certified as a medication technician.(c) An individual shall be certified as a dialysis technician by the Board before the individual may: (1) Use the title "certified dialysis technician";(2) Use the initials "C.D.T." after the name of the individual; or(3) Represent to the public that the individual is a certified dialysis technician.(d) An individual may not practice, attempt to practice, or offer to practice as a certified dialysis technician or a certified medication technician without certification from the Board.Amended by 2022 Md.
