Scope. -- These rules and regulations establish procedures and criteria to be employed by the Parole Board when sanctioning parolees; revoking the parole of those inmates who violate the conditions of parole; requesting reconsideration of decisions of the Parole Board and in discharging the sentence of those who successfully completed the conditions of parole.1.2. Authority. -- W. Va. Code § 62-12-13(g).1.3. Filing Date. -- August 7, 2014.1.4. Effective Date. -- October 7, 2014.1.5. Purpose. -- The general purpose of these rules and regulations is to establish procedures and criteria whereby the West Virginia Parole Board shall discharge its duties and exercise the powers described and reserved to the Board by the W. Va. Code §§ 62-12-13; 62-12-14; & 62-12-19.
