Section R. 299.2363 - Stripping of casingRule 2363.
(1) A permittee of a well shall not pull or strip a string of casing from a well, except under the following circumstances:(a) Provision is made for the removal of casing in the casing and sealing program specified in the application for a permit to drill and operate.(b) Casing is pulled and reset in the same stratum to obtain a satisfactory casing seat.(c) A well is being plugged back or is being plugged to the surface under the change of well status provided in R 299.2384 or the plugging instructions in R 299.2433.(2) A permittee of a well shall seal the annular space left open and the stratum exposed by the approved pulling and stripping of casing in a manner approved by the supervisor of mineral wells or authorized representative of the supervisor of mineral wells.Mich.
