Section 123-6-106 - Sentences to the age of 22 1/2
(a) For each offender sentenced to confinement until reaching the age of 22 1/2, the offender's sentence shall be calculated as a number of months by determining the number of months on and after the sentencing date through the date on which the offender reaches the age of 22 1/2.
(b) If the calculation to determine the number of months contained in a sentence to the age of 22 1/2 results in a partial month, the Kansas juvenile justice authority's "adjustment chart for sentences to the age of 22 1/2," dated August 3, 2006, and hereby adopted by reference, shall establish the necessary adjustment to the minimum number of days to serve and the number of good time days available.
(c) Once the sentence to the age of 22 1/2 has been calculated and expressed as a number of months, the sentence begins date and all other sentence computations shall be calculated in accordance with article 6 of these regulations.
