Except where otherwise specified, the time in which any act provided by this chapter is to be done is computed by excluding the first day and including the last, unless the last day is a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday pursuant to section 8-1, HRS, and then it is also excluded. This section shall not apply to section 12-27-9.
