The hearing officer upon a showing of good cause consistent with Subsection 50730(f), in order to obtain new evidence necessary for the proper determination of the case, may:
(a) Continue the formal hearing and hold the record open in order to permit any party to produce additional evidence;(b) Close the hearing and hold the record open in order to permit the introduction of additional documentary evidence. Any material submitted after the close of the formal hearing shall be served upon all parties and each party shall have reasonable opportunity for rebuttal;(c) Order a further formal hearing if the nature of the additional evidence or the refutation thereof make a further hearing desirable.Cal.
