Gen. No. 40,721. (Abstract of Decision.)
1939.
ASSOCIATIONS, § 5 — expulsion of members. Lower court was justified in finding that plaintiffs, members of a fraternal organization, were slandered at a meeting wherein they were allegedly characterized as "gangsters, hoodlums, bootleggers and murderers," and that such words constituted slander per se; but where plaintiffs had actually committed an assault upon another member, the association was justified in expelling them, where it followed substance although not letter of the by-laws.
