By order dated May 10, 2017, the Court abated this appeal due to appellant's bankruptcy filing. See TEX. R. APP. P. 8.2. On May 26, 2017, appellant filed a copy of the bankruptcy court's May 17, 2017 order dismissing the bankruptcy proceeding. Accordingly, we REINSTATE this appeal.
Before the Court is appellant's May 9, 2017 motion for an extension of time to file an amended brief. We GRANT the motion to the extent we ORDER appellant to file, by June 19, 2017, an amended brief correcting the deficiencies noted in this Court's April 25, 2017 order.
We expressly caution appellant that failure to file an amended brief by June 19, 2017 may result in dismissal of the appeal without further notice. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8 (a)(1).
