TORI WOODS, GLORIA WOODS, AND M.W., Appellants v. BW MIDTOWN CEDAR HILL, L.L.C., Appellee

On Appeal from the 134th Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. DC-20-11275

ORDER

CRAIG SMITH, JUSTICE

Appellants have been representing themselves since their counsel withdrew on August 20, 2021. Their brief is currently due, but by motion filed November 5, 2021, appellant Tori Woods has requested an extension. It appears Ms. Woods has requested the extension on behalf of herself and the other appellants.

We note that a person who is not a licensed attorney may not represent another person. See TEX. R. CIV. P. 7; Paselk v. Rabun, 293 S.W.3d 600, 606 (Tex. App.-Texarkana 2009, pet. denied). Nonetheless, in the interest of justice and expediency, we GRANT the motion as to all appellants and ORDER appellants' brief(s) be filed no later than December 6, 2021. We caution appellants that, unless represented by counsel, future filings, including the brief, should be signed by each appellant seeking relief. As the brief was first due October 7, 2021, we further caution appellants that additional extension requests will be disfavored.
