DEREK WILLIAMS, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the Criminal District Court No. 1 Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. F12-30886-H

ORDER

NANCY KENNEDY, JUSTICE.

On December 13, 2023, we sent a letter to the parties and the trial court to consider whether the trial court's certification of defendant's right of appeal, which indicated the case involved a plea bargain and appellant had no right of appeal, was correct. On January 5, 2024, a supplemental clerk's record was filed with the trial court's certification of defendant's right of appeal indicating the case did not involve a plea bargain and that appellant had the right of appeal. We conclude we have jurisdiction over this appeal.

Appellant's brief is due JANUARY 29, 2024.
