AL M. WILLIAMS, Appellant v. ECOM/WILLMAX BELLAGIO, L.P. D/B/A LADERA, Appellee

On Appeal from the 14th Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. DC-19-17458

ORDER

KEN MOLBERG, JUSTICE

Before the Court is appellant's May 15, 2022 second motion for an extension of time to file his brief on the merits. In his motion, appellant requests more time so that he can retain counsel. In the alternative, appellant requests that we (1) wait until the Court rules on his mandamus petition, (2) give him an advance to pay for a lawyer, or (3) accept his mandamus petition as his brief. We GRANT the motion to the extent that we extend the deadline for appellant's brief to June 15, 2022. We caution appellant that further extension requests will be disfavored.

Appellant's petition for writ of mandamus was denied. See In re Williams, No. 05-22-00380-CV, 2022 WL 1260187, at *1 (Tex. App.-Dallas Apr. 28, 2022, orig. proceeding). A motion for rehearing remains pending.
