ORDER


On August 3, 1999, petitioner filed the instant petition for writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241. It has recently come to our attention that no response to petitioner's papers has ever been filed.

The Clerk of this Court shall serve a copy of this order and the underlying petition with attachments, by first class mail, upon the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York and upon petitioner.

Respondent shall file an answer to this petition, along with relevant supporting documentation, within thirty days of the date of this order. Petitioner may file a traverse within thirty days from receipt of respondent's answer.

SO ORDERED.
