Scott Ralph WHEELOCK, Appellant v. The STATE of Texas, Appellee

From the 198th Judicial District Court, Kerr County, Texas
Trial Court No. B18291
Honorable Rex Emerson, Judge Presiding

ORDER

On September 16, 2019, appellant filed a pro se letter requesting clarification regarding briefing deadlines and information on how to obtain a copy of the record. It has come to our attention that appellant is represented by Douglas S. Daniel, who was appointed appellant's counsel by the trial court on January 4, 2019. In Texas, appellants do not have a right to hybrid representation. Rudd v. State, 616 S.W.2d 623, 625 (Tex. Crim. App. 1981). Therefore, we refuse appellant's requests for clarification and direct the clerk of court to send a copy of this order to appellant's counsel of record, Mr. Daniel.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the said court on this 1st day of October, 2019.
