¶14. Going one step further, in Weaver v. State, 265 So. 3d 182 (Miss. Ct. App. 2018), this Court upheld the trial court’s decision to refuse a jury instruction on imperfect self-defense where a defendant’s own testimony debunked any notion of intent in the moment the victim was shot.
