BEAU JUSTIN WATSON, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 59th Judicial District Court Grayson County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 072443

ORDER

AMANDA L. REICHEK JUSTICE

We REINSTATE this appeal.

We abated this appeal for the trial court to make findings regarding appellant's counsel Kristin Brown's failure to timely file appellant's brief. Appellant's brief was originally due May 6, 2024, and Ms. Brown has not yet filed the brief.

On December 13, 2024, the trial court found that Ms. Brown had begun working on the brief and that she "believes that she can have the briefing filed within the next 45 days." The trial court "recommends that the Court of Appeals grant Ms. Brown an additional 45 days from today to file Appellant's brief, until January 26, 2025.

We accept the trial court's findings and recommendation.

We ORDER Kristen Brown to file appellant's brief on or before Monday, January 27, 2025.
