Watson v. Stalder

Court of Appeal of Louisiana, First Circuit
Dec 23, 2008
No. 2008 CA 0946 (La. Ct. App. Dec. 23, 2008)

Opinion

No. 2008 CA 0946.

December 23, 2008. NOT DESIGNATED FOR PUBLICATION

ON APPEAL FROM THE 19TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT, IN AND FOR THE PARISH OF EAST BATON ROUGE, STATE OF LOUISIANA TRIAL COURT NO. C554,985 THE HONORABLE CURTIS A. CALLOWAY, JUDGE PRESIDING.

Joseph Watson, Homer, LA, Plaintiff/Appellant, In Proper Person.

BEFORE: CARTER, C.J., WHIPPLE AND DOWNING, JJ.

Joseph Watson, an inmate in the custody of the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, filed a petition for judicial review of a final agency decision rendered under the Corrections Administrative Remedy Procedure Act. Following de novo review, the district court affirmed the agency's decision and dismissed plaintiff's petition with prejudice. Watson now appeals.

The Commissioner's January 29, 2008 report, adopted by the district court in its February 25, 2008 judgment, thoroughly and adequately discusses the factual and procedural background of this matter, as well as the applicable law. After careful review, we affirm the district court's judgment by summary opinion in accordance with Rule 2-16.2A(5) of the Uniform Rules of Louisiana Courts of Appeal. All costs of this appeal are assessed to Joseph Watson.

AFFIRMED.
