MARJORIE WASHINGTON, Appellant v. AMERICAN PATRIOT LLC, Appellee

On Appeal from the County Court at Law No. 2 Dallas County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. CC-16-04245-B

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Before Justices Bridges, Lang-Miers, and Evans
Opinion by Justice Evans

Before the Court is appellee's May 22, 2017 motion to dismiss the appeal. Appellee asserts this cause should be dismissed because of appellant's failure to file a brief. Appellant's brief was due April 7, 2017. By postcard dated April 10, 2017 the Court informed appellant that her brief was past due. We instructed appellant to file a brief along with an extension motion within ten days and cautioned her that failure to do so would result in dismissal of her appeal. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a)(1). To date, appellant has not filed a brief, an extension motion, or otherwise corresponded with this Court regarding this appeal. Consequently, we grant appellee's motion and dismiss this appeal. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a)(1), 42.3(b),(c). 161469F.P05
