Freddie Lee Walker v. David Gutierrez, Chairman of the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles; Roy A. (Tony) Garcia, Commissioner; Wanda Saliagas, Commissioner; and Federico Rangel, Board Member
ORDER Trial court case number: D-1-GN-17-001513 Trial court: 200th District Court of Travis County
The clerk's record and reporter's record in this appeal have been filed at no cost to the appellant, Freddie Lee Walker. The clerk's record reflects that Walker filed multiple affidavits of inability to afford to pay court costs.
Walker was incarcerated at the time he initiated this appeal, but he since has been released on parole. He has filed two motions requesting production of records pursuant to Rule 196. That rule is inapplicable to appellate records, and thus we deny Walker's motions.
However, the Clerk of this court is sending Walker a copy of the record on disc by certified mail, tracking number 7000 1530 0003 7020 3263.
While the deadline for filing the appellant's brief has passed and a late-brief notice has issued, Walker has not yet received a copy of the record. Accordingly, the late-brief notice is withdrawn. The new deadline for Walker's appellant's brief to be filed is 30 days from the date of this order. Cf. TEX. R. APP. P. 38.6(a).
It is so ORDERED. Judge's signature: /s/ Michael Massengale
