Panel consists of Chief Justice Brister and Justices Field and Farris

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Scott K. Field Justice

Appellant's brief was originally due on June 19, 2024. On August 29, 2024, the Eighth Court of Appeals ordered appellant to file his brief and a motion for extension of time no later than August 26, 2024. In addition, the court of appeals cautioned that if he failed to file his brief and a request for an extension of time to file same, his appeal could be dismissed for want of prosecution without further notice. See Tex.R.App.P. 38.8(a)(1). On August 29, 2024, the Eighth Court of Appeals notified appellant that his appeal had been transferred to this Court, pursuant to the Order of the Supreme Court of Texas, Misc. Docket No. 24-9055 (Aug. 24, 2024).

To date, appellant has not filed a brief or a motion for extension of time. We dismiss this appeal for want of prosecution. See Tex.R.App.P. 42.3.
