Opinion

No. 95-3358.

February 14, 1996.

An Appeal from the Circuit Court for Dade County; Bernard S. Shapiro, Judge.

Geiger, Kasdin, Heller, Kuperstein, Chames Weil, and Deborah S. Chames, Miami, for appellants.

Brenda B. Shapiro, Miami, for appellees.

Before SCHWARTZ, C.J., and LEVY and GODERICH, JJ.

Because the trial court failed to hold an evidentiary hearing as to whether visitation with the maternal grandparents would be in the best interest of the child, we reverse the order granting visitation rights to the maternal grandparents, § 752.01, Fla.Stat. (1993), and remand this cause for an evidentiary hearing.

Reversed and remanded.
