On May 6, 2020, this court issued its opinion on appellee's motion for rehearing and remittitur. See Virlar v. Puente, No. 04-18-00118-CV, 2020 WL 2139313 (Tex. App.—San Antonio May 6, 2020, no pet. h.). On May 20, 2020, appellee filed a Second Motion for Rehearing. On June 22, 2020, this court requested appellants to file a response to the motion for rehearing on or before July 22, 2020. See TEX. R. APP. P. 49.2, 49.7.
Appellants have filed a motion for extension of time to file their response, requesting that we extend their time to fourteen days after the Texas Supreme Court decides the motion for rehearing pending in Regent Care of San Antonio, L.P. v. Detrick, No. 19-0117, 2020 WL 2311943 (Tex. May 8, 2020). Appellants note that appellee does not oppose a thirty-day extension, but does object to an "indefinite" extension based on a future ruling by the supreme court.
We grant appellants' motion to the extent that we grant a thirty-day extension. Thus, we request appellants file a response on or before August 21, 2020.
