CARLITA D. VASSER, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent
ORDER
Courtney D. Jones, Judge
On March 28, 2024, respondent filed with the Court a Motion for Continuance. On April 3, 2024, the Court issued an Order to Show Cause why counsel for petitioner, Samantha Wisniewski (Ms. Wisnewski), should not be removed from this case. On April 3, 2024, an entry of appearance for petitioner was filed by Lance R. Drury (Mr. Drury). And on April 5, 2024, Ms. Wisniewski filed a Notice of Change of Address and Telephone Number (the Notice). The Notice provided the Court with Ms. Wisnewski's updated contact information. However, Ms. Wisniewski did not otherwise respond to the Court's Order to Show Cause.
This case was called from the calendar of the Court's St. Louis, Missouri, trial session, on April 29, 2024. Counsel for respondent appeared and was heard. Neither Mr. Drury nor Ms. Wisniewski appeared on behalf of petitioner. Because Ms. Wisniewski has not shown cause why she should not be removed from this case, we will make the Order to Show Cause absolute as to her withdrawal.
Upon due consideration and for cause more fully appearing in the transcript of the proceeding, it is
ORDERED that respondent's Motion for Continuance, filed March 28, 2024, is granted, and this case is continued generally and restored to the general docket for further disposition. It is further
ORDERED that the Court's Order to Show Cause dated April 3, 2024, is hereby made absolute and Samantha Wisniewski is hereby withdrawn as counsel for petitioner.
