CHARLES JOSEPH VALENZA, JR., Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Tamara W. Ashford, Judge.

On July 7, 2023, pursuant to the Court's May 9, 2023, Order, respondent filed a Status Report, apprising the Court of the then present status of this case. Respondent reports that the parties most recently conferred to discuss the case on June 27, 2023, and during this discussion they reviewed and evaluated various substantiation provided. According to respondent, the parties agree that additional discussions are required to continue working toward settlement, the need for which was prompted as a result of the progress achieved during the aforementioned and earlier conferences. Respondent further reports that the parties had scheduled additional conferences on June 29 and 30, 2023, but the conferences needed to be rescheduled due to family leave of counsel for respondent; respondent anticipates settlement discussions to continue with petitioner after July 17, 2023. Respondent requests that the Court allow the parties to file additional status reports in 60 days further detailing the progress made toward resolution of the issues in this case. Upon due consideration, it is hereby

ORDERED that the parties shall, on or before September 8, 2023, submit to the Court an agreed stipulated decision document or file status reports, separately or jointly, appraising the Court of the then present status of this case.
