CHARLES JOSEPH VALENZA, JR., Petitioner, v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Tamara W. Ashford, Judge

On January 11, 2024, pursuant to the Court's November 15, 2023, Order, respondent filed a Status Report, apprising the Court of the then present status of this case. Respondent reports that since resolving the issues surrounding petitioner's Schedule C expenses (as reflected in an Initial Stipulation of Settled Issues filed with the Court on November 28, 2023), the parties have been addressing the remaining issues present in this case, which include itemized deductions and filing status, among others. Respondent further reports that the parties have been working diligently to resolve all outstanding issues; however, recent progress has been delayed due to the death of a member of petitioner's immediate family. According to respondent, the parties continue to believe, in good faith, that settlement of the remaining issues in this case can be achieved. Respondent requests that the Court allow the parties to file status reports in 60 days, further detailing the progress made toward resolution of the remaining issues in this case. Upon due consideration, it is hereby

ORDERED that the parties shall, on or before March 18, 2024, file status reports, separately or jointly, apprising the Court of the then present status of this case
