ORDER

Defendant Christopher Wilson has moved pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3582 and Amendment 706 for a reduction in the sentence imposed on him on August 22, 2006. The motion will be granted. Defendant's total offense level is reduced to 27. With a total offense level of 27 and a criminal history category of III, defendant has a guideline range of 87-108 months.

Defendant has asked for a sentence at the bottom of the reduced range, but I am persuaded that his important role in crack cocaine dealing in the Beloit, Wisconsin area warrants a slightly longer sentence. I will sentence defendant at the mid-point of the range, or 97 months.

ORDER

IT IS ORDERED that defendant Christopher Wilson's motion for a reduction in his sentence is GRANTED. FURTHER, IT IS ORDERED that the amended judgment and commitment order signed on August 23, 2006, is AMENDED to provide that the sentence imposed on defendant is reduced to 97 months. In all other respects, the judgment and commitment order remains as signed on August 23, 2006.
