ORDER

On September 13, 2007, this court held an unrecorded telephonic status conference. Defendant James Sanderson did not participate personally, but was represented by his replacement attorney, Joseph Sommers. The government was represented by Assistant United States Attorney Elizabeth Altman.

This was Sommers's first appearance in this case and he has not yet had a chance to talk to his client or review the government's disclosures. The government will provide a fresh copy of its discovery to Attorney Sommers, and Attorney Sommers will be talking to Sanderson in the near future. A telephonic status conference is set for September 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. to determine what needs to happen next in this case. Regardless how Sanderson chooses to proceed, the remainder of the current calendar is stricken as unfair and unworkable under the circumstances. The court will institute a new calendar after talking to the attorneys at the next telephonic status conference.
