ORDER

J. THOMAS GREENE, Senior District Judge.

Based upon joint motion of the defendant and United States, and for good cause appearing, it is hereby ORDERED that the date on which negotiations must be completed is extended from May 20, 2003, June 10. It is FURTHER ORDERED that the time between May 27, 2003, and the new trial date of June 19 is excluded under 18 U.S.C. § 3161(h)(8)(A) and (B)(i) in that the ends of justice served by the continuances in allowing the parties to negotiate a fair and just resolution in the case outweigh the best interest of the public and defendant in a speedy trial.
