PROPOSED ORDER

HONORABLE ROBERT E. BLACKBURN United States District Judge.

1. This matter is before the Court for consideration of Defendant's Unopposed Motion for a Hearing to Determine the Mental Competency of the Defendant Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. §4241 [Doc. ___] filed on October 3, 2022. The Court having reviewed the Unopposed Motion hereby ORDERS that:

a) as it relates to the competency of the defendant pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 4241, Defendant's Unopposed Motion [Doc. ___] is GRANTED for good cause shown;
b) pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 4241, the matter will be set for a Competency Hearing to be conducted pursuant to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. §4247(d);
c) if the government requests that a psychiatric or psychological examination occur, that such an evaluation occur in the suitable facility closest to the court as required by 18 U.S.C. §4247(b).
d) pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3161(h)(1)(A), the period of delay resulting from any competency proceedings shall be excluded in computing the time within which the trial must commence under 18 U.S.C. § 3161(c).

2. Once the appropriate reports have been completed and disclosed to counsel and the Court, the parties shall contact chambers in order to set a date for the Competency Hearing.
