Holding that Hobbs Act robbery is a "serious violent felony" under 18 U.S.C. § 3559(c) because it has as an element the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force

In Almendarez–Torres v. United States , 523 U.S. 224, 226–27, 118 S.Ct. 1219, 140 L.Ed.2d 350 (1998), the Supreme Court explained however that recidivism is not an element of an offense that must be submitted to a jury, and the Alleyne Court, 133 S.Ct. at 2160 n. 1, did not revisit that conclusion. United States v. Roberts , 763 F.3d 947, 949 (8th Cir. 2014). We conclude that the district court properly sentenced House to life imprisonment under 18 U.S.C. § 3559(c).
