James E. Thompson & Danielle Jenkins Petitioners v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes, Judge

This case was on the January 25, 2021 Los Angeles, California trial calendar, but we continued it to enable the parties to work on informal discovery and a possible settlement. Respondent then reported that the parties had reached at least an oral settlement. Petitioner then seems to have broken off contact and respondent reasonably suggests it might be a good idea to close the case with a motion to dismiss in a lesser amount that reflects the oral settlement. It is therefore

ORDERED that on or before December 10, 2021 the parties shall submit settlement documents, or respondent shall file a status report to describe their progress or file a motion to dismiss.
