IAN B. THOMPSON, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Richard T. Morrison, Judge

This case was called from the calendar of the Court's May 30, 2023 Tampa, Florida trial session. There was no appearance by or on behalf of the petitioner. Respondent appeared and was heard. Respondent orally moved to dismiss this case for lack of prosecution. On June 1, 2023, the Court ordered petitioner to show cause, on or before June 29, 2023, why respondent's oral motion to dismiss for lack of prosecution should not be granted and a decision entered in favor of respondent.

On June 26, 2023, the Court received a letter from petitioner (Doc. 20). We will recharacterize this as petitioner's response to the Court's June 1, 2023 Order to Show Cause.

Upon due consideration, it is

ORDERED that petitioner's aforementioned letter is recharacterized as petitioner's response to Order to Show Cause. It is further

ORDERED that respondent shall, on or before July 19, 2023, file a reply to petitioner's response to Order to Show Cause.
