In these consolidated appeals, we have been asked to review the trial court's order on inability to afford costs. See TEX. R. CIV. P. 145(g). Under Rule 145(g), the record of the trial court's proceedings on appellant's claim of indigence must be provided without charge. Id. 145(g)(3).
On November 1, 2023, we ordered the appellate record from all trial court proceedings pertaining to appellant's claim of indigence to be filed in this court within fifteen days. The reporter's record from the relevant hearing was filed on November 21, 2023. The clerk's record was filed on December 8, 2023.
Appellant has filed a motion for an extension of time to file her brief on review of the trial court's indigence order. In the motion, appellant states she is having difficulty printing the appellate record and the cost of doing so is "upwards of $600." Appellant asks us to ensure that she is provided the appellate record related to this indigency review without charge in accordance with Rule 145(g)(3). See id.
Appellant's motion is GRANTED. Appellant's brief on review of the indigence order is due on or before January 26, 2024. Any response to appellant's brief is due twenty-one (21) days after appellant's brief is filed. Any further extensions of time will be disfavored.
Additionally, the clerk of this court is directed to print a copy of the three-volume reporter's record filed in this court on November 21, 2023, and a copy of volume two of the clerk's record filed in this court on December 8, 2023, and mail them to appellant.
