ANDREW M. TAYLOR, Appellant v. LINDA MARROQUIN, Appellee

On Appeal from the 134th Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. DC-16-02665

ORDER

Before the Court is appellant's January 18, 2018 motion for an extension of time to file a brief. Appellant's brief is not yet due because the record has not been filed. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.6(a). Accordingly, we DENY appellant's motion as premature.

The clerk's and reporter's records are overdue. In his motion, appellant explains that, due to a financial hardship, he needs more time to pay the fees for preparation of the clerk's and reporter's records. Accordingly, on the Court's own motion, we extend the time to file the clerk's and reporter's records. We ORDER Felicia Pitre, Dallas County District Clerk, and Vielica Dobbins, Official Court Reporter for the 134th Judicial District Court, to file either (1) their respective records by February 22, 2018 or (2) written verification that appellant has not requested, paid, or made arrangements to pay their respective fees as of February 22, 2018.

We DIRECT the Clerk of this Court to send a copy of this order to Ms. Pitre, Ms. Dobbins, and all parties.
