VARTAN V. TABAKIAN & ROUBINA BOYADJ TABAKIAN, Petitioners v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes Judge

This case was on the Court's April 4, 2022 trial calendar for Los Angeles, California, but we continued it because it was reasonable to let petitioner try to settle either at IRS Appeals or with counsel. Informal discovery remains underway, and respondent recently reported that he thinks there will be no need for formal discovery. We'll continue to give the parties a bit more time before moving this case to a pretrial-order track, but we do want to see an end to document production and a move to settlement proposals soon. It is.

ORDERED that on or before April 24, 2023 respondent shall file a status report describing the state of informal discovery, as well as any progress toward settlement that the parties have made.
