Frank Edwin STEPHENSON, Appellant v. The STATE of Texas, Appellee

From the 198th Judicial District Court, Bandera County, Texas Trial Court No. CR-20-0000012 Honorable M. Rex Emerson, Judge Presiding

ORDER

Irene Rios, Justice

Appellant's brief originally was due on June 13, 2022. On June 15, 2022, appellant filed a motion requesting a sixty-day extension of time in which to file the brief. In the motion, appellant's attorney, Mr. Patrick McCann, cited various other professional commitments as the reason for needing an extension.

We GRANT the motion, and ORDER Mr. McCann to file appellant's brief no later than August 12, 2022. Mr. McCann is cautioned that counsel's heavy case load or demanding work schedule is not an extraordinary circumstance warranting further requests for an extension of time.
