MEMORANDUM OPINION


The appellate record was complete on July 22, 2011. Appellant's brief was due to be filed with this court on August 22, 2011. On September 1, 2011, after no brief or motion for extension of time was filed, this court ordered appellant to show cause in writing no later than September 16, 2011, why this appeal should not be dismissed for want of prosecution. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a). As of this date, no response has been filed. The appeal is, therefore, dismissed for want of prosecution. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a)(1), 42.3(b). Costs of this appeal are taxed against the appellant. See id. 43.4.
