STATE OF LOUISIANA v. GREGORY YOUNG


In Re: Gregory Young, applying for supervisory writs, 19th Judicial District Court, Parish of East Baton Rouge, No. 11-13-0170. BEFORE: WHIPPLE, C.J., PETTIGREW AND CRAIN, JJ.

WRIT NOT CONSIDERED. Relator did not comply with Uniform Rules of Louisiana Courts of Appeal, Rules 4-2, 4-3, and 4-5(C)(11), in failing to provide documentation of the notice of intent, and of any return date orders or extensions to the return date. Further, in violation of the rules, the pages in the writ application are not consecutively numbered, and there is no copy of an opposition or statement that no written opposition was filed. See Uniform Rules of Louisiana Courts of Appeal, Rules 4-5(B) & 4-5(C)(9). Relator did not comply with Rule 4-5(C)(3), in failing to include in the statement of the case, the status of the case and any trial or hearing dates. Relator did not comply with Rules 4-5(C)(8) and (C)(10), in failing to include a copy of the bill of information and a copy of the pertinent court minutes. Relator did not comply with Rule 4-5(A), in failing to include in his writ application an affidavit verifying the allegations of the application and certifying that a copy has been delivered to the judge and opposing counsel.
