The petition by the state of Connecticut for certification for appeal from the Appellate Court, 152 Conn.App. 260, 96 A.3d 638, is granted, limited to the following issues:
“1. Did the Appellate Court properly determine that the trial court had abused its discretion by precluding the defendant from asking certain questions during cross-examination about the police investigation in this case?
“2. If the answer to the first question is ‘yes,’ did these evidentiary improprieties deprive the defendant of his constitutional right to a fair trial?”
