STATE of Louisiana v. Kevin WILSON

ON SUPERVISORY WRIT TO THE CRIMINAL DISTRICT COURT, PARISH OF ORLEANS

PER CURIAM:

Writ denied. We find no abuse of discretion in district court's pretrial ruling regarding the admissibility of other crimes evidence, pursuant to State v. Prieur , 277 So.2d 126 (La. 1973), and State v. Taylor , 16-1124 (La. 12/1/16), 217 So.3d 283. We note, however, that nothing prevents the State from reurging its motion at trial, and the district court from reconsidering the issue at that time, in light of the evidence presented and as the strategy adopted by the defense becomes apparent.

Genovese, J., concurs in the result.
