STATE OF LOUISIANA v. JASMINE WILLIAMS

In Re: Jasmine Williams, applying for supervisory writs, 19th Judicial District Court, Parish of East Baton Rouge, No. 02-13-0052. BEFORE: HIGGINBOTHAM, HOLDRIDGE, AND PENZATO, JJ.

WRIT DENIED. This court is limited to review of the lower court's rulings or the failure of the lower court to act on a properly filed pleading. This writ application appears to be an application for postconviction relief filed in this court when it should have been filed in the district court first. Accordingly, because there is no indication the pleading has been filed in the district court, this writ presents nothing for this court to review. Relator should first seek relief in the district court.
