STATE OF LOUISIANA v. DARYL M. WILLIAMS, SR.

In Re: State of Louisiana, applying for supervisory writs, 19th Judicial District Court, Parish of East Baton Rouge, No. 06-14-1012, BEFORE: PETTIGREW, MCDONALD AND PENZATO, JJ.

WRIT GRANTED. Based on Chapoton's training, background, and experience, the district court abused its discretion in not finding her qualified as an expert at trial. See State v. Berry, 95-1610 (La. App. 1st Cir. 11/8/96), 684 So.2d 439, 456, writ denied, 97-0278 (La. 10/10/97), 703 So.2d 603. Thus, the trial court's ruling denying the State's motion in limine is reversed.
