November 16, 1990.

Appeal from the Circuit Court, Duval County, Michael R. Weatherby, J.

Robert A. Butterworth, Atty. Gen., and Edward C. Hill, Jr., Asst. Atty. Gen., Tallahassee, for appellant.

Gary Baker, Callahan, for appellees.

We decline to extend the defense of recantation to the charge of tampering with physical evidence. We therefore reverse that portion of the trial court's order dismissing the tampering charge based on such defense and affirm the order of dismissal in all other respects.
