STATE OF LOUISIANA v. NATHANIEL PARISH

In Re: Nathaniel Parish, applying for supervisory writs, 22nd Judicial District Court, Parish of Washington, No. 04-CR3-91325. BEFORE: WHIPPLE, C.J., McCLENDON AND HIGGINBOTHAM, JJ.

WRIT GRANTED IN PART AND DENIED IN PART. According to the records of the Washington Parish Clerk of Court's Office, there has been no ruling by the district court as to relator's application for a writ of mandamus filed on September 8, 2014. Insofar as relator seeks mandamus relief compelling the district court to act on that pleading, the writ is granted and the district court is ordered to proceed toward disposition on relator's application for a writ of mandamus. Insofar as relator seeks mandamus relief from this Court, directly ordering the District Attorney to produce the file related to his conviction, his writ application is premature and is denied in that respect.
