STATE OF LOUISIANA v. DONALD RAY MAGEE, JR.


In Re: Donald Ray Magee, Jr., applying for supervisory writs, 22nd Judicial District Court, Parish of Washington, No. 11-CR5-114111. BEFORE: HIGGINBOTHAM, THERIOT, AND CHUTZ, JJ.

STAY REQUEST DENIED. WRIT GRANTED for the sole purpose of transferring the writ application to the district court for a ruling on relator's motion for production of documents, filed January 23, 2017, if it has not done so already. The district court is directed to provide this Court with a copy of its ruling on or before April 21, 2017, Furthermore, in the event that relator still intends to seek review of the district court's July 2016 ruling denying his "motion for postconviction relief and in the alternative motion to correct illegal sentence," relator may file a new writ with this Court on or before June 5, 2017.
