ORDER

Upon consideration of Defendant-Appellant Gilbert Madrid's letter to the Clerk of the Supreme Court seeking to withdraw his appeal and the records and files herein, it appears that: (1) On June 21, 2001, Appellant, proceeding pro se, filed a notice of appeal from the judgment and sentence convicting him of abuse of a household or family member; and (2) Appellant now states that he wants to withdraw his appeal and asks the court to withdraw his appeal. Therefore,

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Appellant's request to withdraw his appeal is granted, and this appeal is dismissed.
