The petition by the state of Connecticut for certification for appeal from the Appellate Court, 149 Conn.App. 361, 87 A.3d 1193, is granted, limited to the following issues:

“1. Did the Appellate Court properly determine that the jury verdicts finding the defendant guilty of both intentional and reckless assault were legally inconsistent and, therefore, had to be reversed?

“2. If the answer to the first question is in the affirmative, did the Appellate Court properly determine that a new trial was the correct remedy?”
