STATE OF LOUISIANA v. PHILLIP JELKS, JR.

In Re: Phillip Jelks, Jr., applying for supervisory writs, 17th Judicial District Court, Parish of Lafourche, No. 544,358 and 545,208. BEFORE: GUIDRY, THERIOT, AND PENZATO, JJ.

WRIT DENIED AS MOOT. The records of the Lafourche Parish Clerk's Office reflect that on May 18, 2018, relator pled guilty to the charges of failure to register and notify as a sex offender, aggravated burglary, and armed robbery. Therefore, the purported pretrial relief that relator seeks, to recuse his pretrial counsel and a request for a preliminary exam, is moot.
