State v. Janto

Supreme Court of Hawaii
Oct 8, 2001

Opinion

October 8, 2001.

APPEAL FROM THE FIRST CIRCUIT COURT (CR. NO. 97-1458).

MOON, C.J., LEVINSON, NAKAYAMA, RAMIL AND ACOBA, JJ.

ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL

Upon review of the record, it appears that: (1) Appellant appeals the circuit court's June 14, 2001 order denying appointment of counsel to assist in filing a petition for post-conviction relief; (2) the appeal of the June 14, 2001 order is an appeal of a post-judgment order that is not authorized by HRS § 641-11; and thus, (3) we lack jurisdiction over this appeal. Therefore,

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that this appeal is dismissed for want of appellate jurisdiction.
