STATE OF LOUISIANA v. TRENTON GAVIN IN RE TRENTON GAVIN

APPLYING FOR SUPERVISORY WRIT FROM THE TWENTY-FOURTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT, PARISH OF JEFFERSON, STATE OF LOUISIANA, DIRECTED TO THE HONORABLE STEPHEN D. ENRIGHT, JR., DIVISION "N", NUMBER 23-388

Panel composed of Judges Marc E. Johnson, Robert A. Chaisson, and John J. Molaison, Jr.

WRIT OF MANDAMUS GRANTED

In his writ application requesting mandamus relief, relator, Trenton Gavin, asserts that the district court has failed to rule on his motion to quash and motion to suppress evidence, which were allegedly set for hearing in the district court on July 6, 2023, but were then continued several times. Accordingly, we grant relator's request for mandamus relief and order the district court to rule upon relator's motions, if properly filed, within thirty days of this order, if it has not already done so. The district court is further directed to provide a copy of its rulings to relator and to this Court.
