The State of Texas, Appellant v. Brandom Garrett, Appellee

FROM THE COUNTY COURT AT LAW NO. 1 OF COMAL COUNTY, NOS. 2015CR1742 & 2015CR1738 , HONORABLE CHARLES A. STEPHENS, II, JUDGE PRESIDING ORDER

PER CURIAM

In each of the above causes, the State of Texas has filed a notice of appeal from the trial court's order granting Brandom Garrett's motion to suppress evidence. On July 14, 2017, this Court abated and remanded the appeals to the trial court to make findings of fact and conclusions of law. Following reinstatement, the State's brief was due on September 13, 2017, and the State has been granted two extensions since that time, for a total of 70 days. The State has now filed a third motion for extension of time, seeking an additional 35 days to file its brief, which would make the brief due on December 27, 2017. We grant the motion and extend the deadline to the following Tuesday, January 2, 2018. No further extensions will be granted.

It is ordered on November 30, 2017. Before Chief Justice Rose, Justices Pemberton and Goodwin Do Not Publish
